How does the glow work? (No batteries, no tricks)
The blanket contains light-storing pigments printed onto the flannel surface as part of the pattern. These pigments are not radioactive and do not need electricity. Here is exactly how they work:
During the day – expose the blanket to sunlight, room light, or a lamp. The pigments absorb light energy, just like a sponge absorbs water.
When the lights turn off – the stored energy is released slowly as a soft, gentle glow. The glow is not bright like a flashlight. It is subtle – enough to make the dinosaurs or unicorns “appear” in the dark, creating a fun, reassuring, or slightly magical feeling.
Important facts:
The blanket will not glow forever. After a few hours, the glow fades as the stored energy runs out. But you can “recharge” it the next day by putting it under light again.
The glow is strongest right after turning off the lights, and gradually becomes dimmer.
The fabric itself is 230gsm flannel – soft, warm, and comfortable. The glow does not change the feel or warmth of the blanket.
